How The Grinch Stole Christmas~

The people in our family are readers.
Book stores used to be favorite stops
on every trip outside.
All of those pictures, all of those words,
all of those places to imagine and explore.

The first book suggestion given by the Pilot Man
was The Lorax by Dr. Seuss.
I was a college senior and still think it was one of his better ideas.

We used to read to the kids from the beginning,
and those times when we were tired and tried to skip pages
never worked-
The kids had their favorites memorized!

Our family has many popular picks from the years,
but this is on our Top Ten Holiday list!
If you haven't read it out loud, you are missing the best part of the story.

Maybe you would like to add

by Dr. Seuss

to your family's holiday reading list?

This is my favorite passage:

We wish for you that little bit more, not found in a store .....
