Life Goes Round on the Pond~

By watching closely on warm, sunny days,
you can see the hundreds of tiny little bugs hovering above the pond water.

The bugs become food for the swallows that swoop down to pick their prey.

They also feed the little fish that live and grow in the pond.

If one is quick, you can catch a brief glint of silver as they leap up to
catch their dinner before slipping back in the cool water.

The graceful loons come to the pond to dive down and catch those fish..

then watch the action from the topside as they rest.....

  1. Good thing there are lots of bugs to keep all those that love them so much full and satisfied :) Nice pictures.
