August often comes with rain,
but this year
our banks are about to runeth over with it!
The Red Dog Mine north of us reports 5-6" in three days!!!
And it just keeps coming down, and across, and....
The rain and wind has washed out the huge road repairs they are trying to make.
The ponds are filling and the river is rising.
While the Lower 48 is roasting, we are dripping.
They are flying firefighters from Alaska to the Pacific Northwest to help out.
We would be happy to send some of the rain with them in their bags.
Our plants, wells and fish have more than they need!
An yet, in the midst of this incredibly wet summer, I spied this growing out
a hole made in the greenhouse at the local hardware store.
A sunny spot in the day.....
