Random Views of Our World This Week~

From the beach..

The picture below is not black and white, but I was experimenting with a slow
shutter speed and lots of sunshine.

Cape Nome in the background.
The roads go to the rock and gravel pits at the top.
The materials are used locally, and shipped from the deep water port at the bottom of the Cape
to surrounding villages who do not have rock/gravel supplies.

The carrots are FinallY coming up..
or maybe most of the birds have left from the rain so they are
getting a chance to grow?

It looks like a pea and grass has been mixed in also!

The pond..

 In the fog~

in the morning mist~

Alaska Airlines jet going over Newton Peak into town
past the Ham Radio transmitters.

and The Nome River Valley on our drive home.....

  1. I'm not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me. Is that tree stump a natural occurring shape or has someone improved on nature and did some carving? It looks like an embrace.

I will respond to you directly by email,
