Ice Play~

One bright, sunny afternoon the ice shimmered,
inviting me out to play.

Its thickness was like old, clear, textured glass,
that glitters in the shifting light.

I found this flower still blooming in my outside bed,
sheltered by its snow-covered friends.

As I shot,

a school of fish cruised by under the ice..

and the cotton grass blew in the breeze.

Along the edge the frost was still crisp and sharp.

 So much beauty all around.....

  1. Great shots Sharon! I love the pumpkin sitting on the ice; people would think you had photoshopped it on the water. Fall is going fast and before you know it, winter will be here.
